While there are an abundance of FJ forums there is a lack of social sites geared towards FJ owners. As a solution we have released FJ Cruiser Garage.
The core of this site is the Virtual Garage, a place where you can enter a list modifications you have performed to your FJ. There are also blogs, events, forums, photo albums, videos, articles and classifieds. All of this is designed around a social site format similar to Facebook. You can even use your Facebook login to join FJ Cruiser Garage!
Please drop by and take a look, join up and enjoy! It’s open to any all FJ owners whether you own a FJ40, FJ55, FJ60, FJ80 or the latest Cruiser.
I’ve had several FJ owners ask me about our Winch Mount but with no shackle mounts. There are several reasons one may not want shackle mounts but the three main reasons are:
1. If you use certain Toyota brush guards the vertical supports are positioned directly over the shackle mounts. With no shackle mounts you can keep your brush guard AND have a winch mount.
2. Certain countries prohibit anything protruding from the front of the bumper other than OEM items.
3. Some simply want a smooth finish similar to their OEM plastic cover.
Whatever your reason we have a winch mount for your FJ…with or without shackles? Please drive through…
Either mount can be purchased here.
The guys at Top Speed Photography have sent us some neat photos of them installing our winch mount along with a Warn Zeon 10s winch in their 2013 Cavalry Blue FJ. Not only do these guys produce some nice photography for others but in these sessions gave us a good look at how things all fit within the factory bumper cover. The first shots with the bare mount are test fits, after pulling everything back off they painted the inside of the mount flat black and the visible front fascia silver to match the FJ’s trim. Make sure to visit our Google+ page for more photos from this installation and many others.
Here’s a quick video of the synthetic line being spooled in to the Warn winch.
U.S. Off Road was once again a Premier Sponsor for the 2013 Lonestar Toyota Jamboree in Gilmer, Texas. The Jambo gets bigger every year with over 150 Toyotas this year. The Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area is a world class offroad park that has trails for any level of rig.
It was great meeting everyone again this year, we had a fantastic time! U.S. Off Road gave away one of our FJ Winch Mounts and a Viper Max 12,000 lb winch courtesy of MotoAlliance, the manufacturer of Viper winches.
Here are a few photos from the Jamboree. I’ll be posting some videos on YouTube as I have time to edit them.
